This opportunity is for a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide essential support across multiple K-8 schools within a vibrant school district in St. Augustine, FL. The position involves an itinerant role serving four elementary and middle school sites, focusing on delivering therapy services and make-up minutes to meet students' needs.
Location: St. Augustine, Florida
Contract Duration: January 5, 2025 March 27, 2026 (with potential extension through the final six weeks of the school year)
Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, on-site only
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students from kindergarten through 8th grade across four schools: Cunningham Creek Elementary, Hickory Creek Elementary, Valley Ridge Academy, and Pine Island Academy
- Provide make-up therapy minutes to ensure compliance with individual student plans
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school district policies and state regulations
- Adapt therapy plans to meet the diverse needs of students within an itinerant service model
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Florida Occupational Therapist license required
- Experience working with school-aged children (K-8) preferred
- Ability to effectively manage a caseload across multiple schools
- Strong communication skills and collaborative approach to working within school environments
